Mentorship program
After my 200hr training I was eager to start teaching. However I was humbly aware that though I had a basic understanding of the asanas, the context and history of the practice, some basic anatomy, and some sequencing guidelines I was left with navigating the rest on my own. It was then and there that I chose to sign up for a mentorship and it was the best decision that I made.
My 1:1 work with my teacher helped to refine my cuing and sequencing, get me comfortable holding space and giving hands on assists and most importantly offered me an experienced mentor who advocated, coached and supported me for years afterwards. From there my teaching career began to flourish and I never stopped learning from qualified teachers.
This 1:1 attention and mentorship guided me from when I was a beginner teacher feeling like a giant imposter, to navigating making yoga a career and successful business and continuing in keeping me fresh in an industry that can easily lead to burn out and fatigue.
The tradition of yogic wisdom is built off of parampara : disciplical knowledge. The wisdom and expertise that my many teachers and mentors have taught and shared with me I pass along and you will too. It’s what makes this tradition so rich.
My mentorship program is designed to meet you exactly where you are as a practitioner and teacher and to help you build a sustainable career that supports you energetically and economically as you build the yoga business you desire. Through tailored 90 minute weekly classes over the span of 12 weeks either in person or online we’ll work alongside each other to support the beautiful long term vision of your teaching.

Integrating yoga philosophy and principles:
One of my favorite topics to explore in depth is yoga philosophy. Whether we delve into the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita or Devi Mahatmyam you’ll gain a better understanding of these texts, how to thoughtfully apply them to your own life and integrate them into your teaching and craft impactful dharma talks.
Exploring subtle body practices:
We’ll go beyond the basics you learn in training to understand and feel confident teaching more in depth pranayama, bandha, kriya, and meditation techniques.Learning how to chant and play basic harmonium
For mentees who want to explore mantra and chanting with or without incorporating the harmonium and shruti box. You don’t have to be a musician or even sing well to learn!
Cultivate Bhakti & create a daily sadhana
Learn how to develop a sustainable spiritual practice using Bhakti- the yoga of devotion. We’ll incorporate Bhakti Shastra (texts), mantra and other rituals to create a daily routine.
Feel more comfortable with hands on assists (in person only)
Navigating the business of yoga:
I can provide guidance on marketing, pricing, and building a successful yoga business.
What the mentorship includes:
1 90 minute session per week for 12 weeks whether in person or online
Co-creating a daily 30m Sadhana for you to practice daily
Weekly assignments designed on enhancing your growth (ie learning a weekly mantra/ coming up w a sequence or dharma talk/ reading assignments)
Consider me your life long mentor available to the best of my ability to offer advice and guidance on your yoga journey
The ability to work 1:1 with a qualified mentor who has thousands of hours of teaching & training experience at your humble service
